The 17 Day Diet by Dr. Mike Moreno is the “Big” diet book out right now. It’s the big fad for people looking for a diet program to lay out everything. I picked up a copy to check out what was so different and wonderful about it.
I finished reading it on Friday, and I have to say it’s not all that different from the South Beach diet. It sounds all great… you think it’s a 17 day diet… but there are 4 stages of the diet, each lasting 17 days.
You know me, I don’t like to just read up, I like to get my hands dirty. So what the heck, for the next 7 days I am going to give the first stage a shot so I can really give you my true thoughts on it.
It’s going to be a lot like the Atkins Diet, with it being very low carb, high protein. But it does allow some fruit to be eating… before 2 pm and I can eat all the protein I want.
Here are my beginning stats:
- 115 lbs… 19% body fat
I will jump on the scale next Monday and see what happens! I have to admit after the weekend we had, I am ready for this!
