4 Stomach Exercises To Get Bikini Ready Abs (From Siesta Key)

by TaylorR

Good morning! Happy Monday from the beach.

So much has happened since yesterday morning. After my run and blog post writing Dan and I purchased a few masks and decided to give snorkeling a try. It was awesome! We saw some amazing wildlife including angel fish, sea urchins, trigger fish and a lot of things I have no idea what their names are.

It made me really wish we had an underwater camera.

After a day in the sun (thank goodness I loaded on sunscreen) we got dressed up and headed to dinner with my brother and his wife. We found a yummy little Peruvian restaurant (I don’t remember the name of it).

The vegan options were non-existant so I settled for some seafood. After ordering cocktails we decided on our starters. Dan and I can’t pass on ceviche when it’s on a menu so we split an order. For dinner, some reason I was craving salmon (which is weird because I don’t normally like salmon.)

I took it as a sign my body was lacking something that this fatty fish could provide so I gave in and ordered it. It was delicious, but not worth the price. Dan had the tuna, something he can rarely pass up, especially when it’s just “kissed” on each side. He said it was awesome.

Because we all such crazy party animals, we were home by 9:30. Which was fine by me.

After the long run and the long swim my body was spent! Which means I hit the hay at 10 pm. Oh it felt so good!

Moving In The Morning – Abs And Sand Surfing

We have already been up and at it this morning. I told Dan how amazing the beach is early in the morning so we took our indo board down before the beach crowds started to roll in.

What’s an indo board? Basically it is a balancing board for surfing, like sand surfing! Dan knew the Gulf would lack waves so instead of bringing his board down he opted for the indo board. Good decision, because I am using it to help strengthen my knee! And it makes me feel like I know how to surf! So much fun.

I also wanted to get a quick core workout in before the beach loaded up. A strong core is key to everything in my life: running, back pain management, proper strength training form and of course feeling good in my bathing suit.

The only thing you need for this workout is a towel. Feel free to modify the moves as you feel to make it the most effective for you!

My biggest secret to shedding pounds around the middle and tightening up my stomach muscles was
getting rid of the soft drinks. For the most part
I drink nothing but drinking water and just that by
itself creates a significant difference.
