Back On Track

The only thing worse then not having a vaction is returning from your relaxing vacation. I arrived back from my Cape Cod MA excursion yesterday afternoon with my boyfriend Thomas only to find out that our AC was broken (a problem in SC with temps constantly in the high nineties) we had to go grocery shopping, the laundry, picking up the dog….you get the idea.

Needless to say as much as I wanted to get to the gym yesterday it did not happen. I woke up this morning ready to go and instantly found an hour worth excuses to delay me. When you get out of your routine why is it so much harder to get back on track???

It’s not that I do not want to go it just seems like there is so much to do. My plan is what I tell other people whose excuse for skipping the gym is that they don’t have enough time. Because returning from a vacation or any time off from your workouts is overwhelming I have scheduled them on my calendar.

fit ladyPutting it in writing makes it real and tells me there is enough time and it is important! I can finish all the other tasks ahead of me today with more energy and losing the guilty feeling of skipping my workout.
