It’s a great question and you are going to learn 5 of the best butt exercises you can do… how to do them… and how to integrate them into a workout that’ll also shape your entire body.

Butt Exercise Number 1: Squats

Squats are a great exercise and what makes this rank as one of the best exercises for your butt is the wide variety of different ways you can do squats. This is not going to be the same old squat with a barbell… although that is probably the best.

Let’s take a closer look at all these different forms of the squat:

- “Regular” Squat: The “regular” squat is the going to be the classic barbell either behind your head or in front of your head (front squat). This is the classic squat and one of the best exercises for sculpting a tight butt.

It works so well because this is mainly a leg workout while incorporating an overall stabilizer affect from the rest of the body. But when you are in the full “down” position and you’re ready to come back up, you have to fulling engage your hynnie. Having the added weight it great for building muscle on the gluteus maximus… one of the biggest muscles and biggest calorie burners.

- Squat Jumps: This is more of a dynamic squat move and done with your body weight. What makes this very powerful is it’s more aerobic. So not only are you using the endurance factor of your muscles, which is helpful in burning fat, but you’re also encouraging muscle gain which adds to the fat burning power.

When doing these, you really want to go for speed and height of the jump… be extra explosive and make sure you go down as far as your can!

- Sumo/Plie Squat: As a women you will very much love this squat move because it adds a little extra targeting power to your inner thighs… and who doesn’t want those inner thighs to be extra tight?

I’m not a fan of the sumo name… us ladies are not big ole sumo wrestler types, but I guess it could be fun to pretend your like one when doing this.

Here’s how it goes…

You can use a barbell, a dumbbell, or just your body weight. But what you ant to do is take a stance that’s much wider than your shoulders and also want your toes to be turned out. If you’re using a barbell then you want to or course rest the barbell on the back of your shoulders…

If you’re using a dumbbell, hold it length wise in your hands and just let it dangle straight down between your legs. Then just lower your body keeping your back extra straight with no rounding and come back up.

You can vary the speed at which this is done and get different results, but either way you’re looking at one killer butt exercise.

The final squat move you’re going to learn here is…

- The Split Leg Squat: This is another great one and really targets your thighs and booty. What’s different about the split squat is one leg gets worked at a time. So it’s a little more concentration power.

Here’s how you do this one….

Go grab a bench and some dumbells. Holding the dumbells at your side, you’ll want to stick one leg on the bench but make sure your other leg is a fair distance from the bench. Notice the picture.

The idea here is to lower your self working the leg that’s not on the bench. It’s kind of like a lunge, but not really… more difficult.

What I really like about this one besides the fact that it targets your butt like a laser guided missile is it really works your balance too! If you’ve never tried this before go really light on the weight because it’s very possible that you may lose your balance.

So that is the squat.. but we’re not close to being done just yet… If you think you can handle the next butt exercise then click here and let’s continue.
