Happy Monday! Today I am really excited to have Danna Schneider write a great guest blog. She’s the blog writer of the fitness blog: Fitness News Magazine which you can check out by clicking below. Thanks Danna!
We’ve all been through those times when we just can’t seem to muster up the enthusiasm or the necessary energy to give ourselves really great, consistent workouts, no matter what our workout regiment might be.
Even for those who seem like die hard exercisers, finding that motivation and the ambition to be healthy and make your body stronger and leaner sometimes falls by the wayside as we are increasingly faced with other life pressures, commitments, and issues that need our attention.
Not only is mustering up the energy and ambition to workout at all sometimes the problem, but we often may find that we are just phoning our workouts in, not really pushing ourselves to that next critical level that is really going to reshape those parts that we tend to struggle with.
Well, there may be a way that can help you to gain the extra subconscious desire to work out more often, and to work out harder and push your fitness to the next level constantly, getting on that exercise bike and pedaling away, jumping on the elliptical for 40 minutes, and switching it up and making it challenging so that your body has to adapt to the different levels of complexity.
Self Hypnosis And Getting Your Exercise On
I’ve tried a few different self hypnosis CD’s for weightloss and exercise motivation, and let me tell you, there is really something to the power of hypnotherapy. Not only can it help you to lose weight and increase your
It might just help you!
subconscious determination to work out more often and harder, but hypnotherapy has multiple uses in both the medical field as well as the natural medicine and self improvement arenas.
It’s been used for centuries to induce memories that may have been lost, to conjure up old fears and subsequently address them, and to help persuade us, via the subconscious, to believe something wholeheartedly, and to best utilize our talents and abilities.
When I first tried a self hypnosis CD, I was a bit worried that it may not work. I didn’t think that I could get myself into a state of complete relaxation in order to fully receive and benefit from the subliminal messages that were being conveyed to my brain, since I’m naturally a fairly neurotic person who has a difficult time achieving total relaxation and subordination.
However, I found that I had a little more in me than I thought, and I soon found that I feel asleep while listening to the CD the first time. I guess that I was still receiving the benefit though, because the next day, I noticed a marked decrease in my appetite, no problem at all getting to the gym, and I noticed that I seemed to just naturally gravitate toward a longer and more challenging workout.
Some people may say that this is really just the placebo effect, that you are really just talking yourself into believing it’s working, but hey, if it’s working, who am I to argue with the reason behind why it works?!
I think that if you try hypnotherapy for any purpose, whether it’s to quit smoking, to push your workouts to the next level, to lose weight, to help you with public speaking or to quit drinking, you would find that as long as you are open to the power of suggestion and as long as you are really committing yourself to opening your mind to it, it really does work.
You do have to periodically hypnotize yourself though to keep it working, it’s not something that you do once and it last forever, it has to be continuously reinforced to keep working.
