I love holidays but I hate how for holidays like Valentine’s day it really is just another day filled with work and normal day events. Which means I won’t walk through the front door until sometime after 9:00pm tomorrow.
And that is the reason I don’t plan on doing a thing on the actually holiday. This past Friday though, I locked my husband in his office and told him he was not allowed to come out. I gave him a large glass of wine to keep him company!
While locked away I put together this nice little Valentine’s surprise dinner (though I don’t think he was very surprised at all). It turned out perfect, even though the meal looks a bit “green”. It was really delicious, light and romantic.
I won’t lie, I tried to put Pandora on a “love station” but it was too cheesy even for me. So we had to settle for some Jimmy Buffet and Jack Johnson instead!
Of course I had to make some sweets for my hubby!
These cookies were sooo good! Made with 1/2 chick pea flour and 1/2 whole wheat, there was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. These really are perhaps the best cookies I have EVER made… And let’s not forget that I love to bake!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
