It was a good point brought up by Craig Ballantyne… one that I have thought about personally, but never thought about really asking or making other people think about.
Taylor and I recently did a great interview with Craig all about proper fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle… and of course geared directly towards women. But in this interview Craig mentioned something that he will sometimes talk to his clients about or at least try to make them think about.
(The interview will be posted in the next day or two)
Do you know what it’s like to fit and healthy?
It’s a good question and one that really applies in my life. Personally, I’ve relapsed into a less frequent workouts because I’m busting my butt helping Taylor building this blog and mainly trying to get The Art of Weight Lifting off the ground with enough members so we can help woman like you.
And every morning I wake up and think… “Gosh I’ve lost it… I used to feel like a bad ass and now I feel like flab ass.”
Even though I’m still pretty in shape, my body has lost a lot of what it used to be… kinda sucks. But then again I know working Taylor’s workouts will get me back in no time flat.
So yes I knew what it was like to fit and healthy and I want it back really bad… maybe not as bad as I want our training site to hit a certain level of membership… but that will change soon.
Here’s my question to you and what I would like you to think about today…
Do You Know What It’s Like to be Fit and Healthy?
Here’s what I mean… you know how you feel now (today). Whatever that is… but…
- Have you truly felt super fit and super healthy?
- Do you know what that gives your body?
- If you could have that feeling would you ever want to lose it? (I’m stressing want)
- Thinking of that feeling is that not worth obtaining in your life?
I hope this doesn’t come off to deep because I’m really not trying to be deep or anything. I just thought it’s a really valid point. Personally I know so many people who seem like they would do anything to be fit and healthy… and yet at the end of the… no progress is ever even started.
Perhaps if they knew how amazing it feels to be fit and healthy that would change them. To bad there isn’t a machine or some type of glasses that you can put on that places you in a state of knowing that feeling right?
It would be pretty cool.
Here’s What I’m Going To Do:
I don’t know if you’ll really care, but it will force me to take the time away from building these sites… and take the measly little 40 minutes… to get my workout in… starting today.
So, I’m going to write another post in about 3 weeks with some metrics of how things have changed that fast… and how it feels internally.
Let me know what you think or how you feel about that question in the comment section!
