It’s been awhile since I have done an official “Dear Fitness Diary” but no better time to get back into it than now since I am doing this raw diet thing.
I wanted to post up some progress pictures that I took Friday morning (the day I started the “diet”) and to help keep me going strong and pushing me to recover from my back issues. I worked out today with Dan and for the first time in three weeks I felt great doing every exercises! I hope that means I can start adding some more weight soon, but I want to take it carefully so I don’t hold up my recovery any more.
But I did add some weight to my split squats. I did 12 reps with 20 lbs dumbbells in each hand. Then to make sure I really hit my legs up I did body weight lunge pulses (12 each leg)… this was a superset and my legs burned to the high heavens afterward!
Ok… so if you’re curious about this raw diet thing, I have to admit it sucks. It ruins the fun of eating. I love to cook, to prepare, and to show off a nicely present plate… and if I can’t cook then the joy of eating is kind of ruined for me right now. Not to mention that with all these nuts and beans I am pretty sure I am packed with fiber.. I am pretty sure I have eaten more fiber in three days than I have in three years. It has it’s pros and cons I assure you.
Another stinky party is making dinner for Dan and watching him enjoy his turkey burgers, sweet potato fries, chicken, coffee, etc. I can’t wait for a cup of coffee on Friday (heck, I might treat myself to a venti Pike Place at Starbucks!).
But I am going forward and going strong! Just 4 more days!
