It’s Friday! I won’t lie, I am happy to see this week go. Ever have a week where you’re just not feeling it?
I have been physically tired, emotionally tired, and mentally tired… so I guess I’m just tired.
But I am not too tired to bake! How much friendlier can I get on a Friday?
My friends Lori and Michelle at PurelyTwins.com recently released their first cookbook and I immediately wanted to help them spread the word. It’s hard to find tasty treats that fit my healthy requirements (since I like something sweet most days) so when the ladies offered to let me check out the book of course I said yes.
Bribed With Chocolate
Instead of sharing all of my favorites from this week, I decided to be friendly to just them, promise I’m not playing favorites here (but waving brownies, cookies and cakes in front of me does have some power).
All of the treats looked delicious, and I loved that they centered around so many different options: raw, vegan, gluten-free… a little bit for everyone. I was immediately drawn to the dark chocolate brownies.
I don’t remember the last time I made a batch. Each time I do, Dan is nervous thinking they are filled with black beans (which are great) or some other out of this world ingredient. So I’ve kept my distance.
And they were delicious. Fudgy, a bit crispy on the top and perfect in the middle. Just the way I like them. Oh and EXTRA chocolatey.
