Taylor is actually in the kitchen right now working on some recipes for a guest post she is doing. I wanted to help her out and post a weekly recap. I hope that’s cool with you.
This past week was a pretty exciting one. The Facebook fan page finally cracked 800 likes. Thank you so much for liking it. It really means a lot to Taylor and I.
Taylor – finally – got her Lytro camera which she is really excited to use. This weekend in fact, she is going on a cooking barrage to get pictures made for a cookbook she wants to self publish next year.
And of course there has been great conversation and feedback on the blog and on Facebook. There is nothing Taylor loves more than talking with you (well maybe training and helping you hit your fit lifestyle goals).
Plus, Taylor and I decided we are completely reworking TheArtofWeightLifting.com and turning it into FitWomensWeekly.com. This will be really exciting, but she’ll tell you more about that later.
Here is a recap of the posts this past week incase you missed one.
Sunday: Homemade Pitas and Tricep Exercises For Women Revisited

This post is a must read. Taylor and I made a really cool tricep exercise infographic to help you get your options straightened out.
While doing just tricep exercises is not really a complete workout, it helps to know what and how to do these exercises.
This post also introduced her homemade pita sandwhich. I was blown away by this. Not only does it look delicious but it tasted amazing too.

Monday: What Do 2 Bearded Brothers Know About Energy Bars?

This was a review post of the Bearded Brothers energy bars. They are exceptional bars, the best that I’ve tried.
I know Taylor really loves them and she has already ordered more. However, just to give you my two cents… they are great. From a nutrition perspective I prefer them over the more “commercial” brands. It’s really a no brainer.
The taste? Oh sooo nice! They really do taste good. The chocolate ones are my personal favorite. Plus I think these will be great for a post workout snack.
If you are looking for a good bar, try them out. You won’t regret it.

Tuesday: The Five Best Interval Workouts for Women And Some Thai Noodle Love

This was a jammed packed post. There are two workouts in it and a Thai recipe that was a great dinner.
The workouts are something you have to do if you have not tried. I helped her put the partner workout together and it was really tough. Get your boyfriend or husband outside with you and try it. Have fun with it too!
When we were filming it, we even had some kids following us… it was pretty funny.
The Thai recipe was excellent. Those sprout noodles are so good. They were mung bean noodles and if you don’t know, mung beans are a super food.

Wednesday: Celebrating National Running Day With: How To Avoid Weight Gain During Marathon Training

As you probably know, Taylor has begun training for a half-marathon. I think it’s a great thing as long as she does not destroy her knee.
But lots of people who are newer to training for long races will actually put a lot of weight on during the process. It sounds like an oxymoron, but it happens pretty frequently.
Taylor goes over lots of great ideas to help make sure this does not happen to you.
And you get to see her vegan donuts. They too were really good… I’m telling you, I am a very very blessed man!

Thursday: Cook It Up Thursday: Vegan Substitutes for Eggs and Lytro Camera Fun

This was a really cool post for a couple reasons. First, we got to use and show you the Lytro camera (not an affiliate link). It’s a living picture that let’s you actually focus where you want to… after the picture is taken.
I am sure we’ll get a lot better at using it. Just give us time.
It was also a really great post because of the two ways to get the egginess you want without using an egg. It’s great for making pancakes.
I think chia seeds, which are one way to do this, are incredible. The way they get so gloppy and gooey. It’s an amazing seed.
Try her recipe that she links to in that post for the pancake. While it’s not as good as my pancake, I have to admit it’s great for an energizing morning.

That’s The Recap!
I hope you enjoyed it. I don’t write much on her blog but I love helping out behind the scenes. I also enjoy writing whenever I can.
Let me know if you liked the recap idea. If you do, I can make this a regular thing on Fridays. (I feel like I’m asking you out on a blog date.)
Finally…
What are your weekend plans… anything out of the ordinary?
How often do you surf the web on your iPad?
Thanks and have a great weekend!
