Are you moving slow today? I think we’re the worst Irish couple ever… not even a single beer!
We did try to watch Darby McGill & The Little People, but unfortunately it wasn’t on NetFlix: fail. Ever seen it? It’s what Dan watched every St. Patty’s growing up.
Netflix: If you read this please put it in the library! Thanks
Moving on. I mentioned the other day that I love trying new things. Very rarely do I stick to the same brand, flavor, or model of something because I am always curious to find out what else is available.
I mean the worst that can happen is that I won’t like something as much as the original and the best that can happen is that I’ll find something I like even more.
It’s silly to stick to the same old same old… that makes life boring!
Lifting Revolution’s Fitness Fitness & Nutrition Show: My Latest Favorites
My Favorites: Fitness & Nutrition Special
-YMX Running/Fitness Tops: These feel like silk! I’ve even been sleeping in them and Dan even thinks I should wear them with jeans for going out. So cute, and comfortable and their wisking ability is amazing!

Seriously, I am all over this top… I wore it this morning while doing an 8x8x8 (8 exercises, 8 reps, 8 rounds)… and it held up beautifully! And then I sported a sleeveless version while doing sprints: 2 minutes @ 8.0 pace; 3 minutes @ 9.0 pace for 25 straight minutes. It was tough but I loved every minute of it!
-Jump Rope: opt for a “speed” rope and avoid nylon ropes as they are extremely slow and you’ll likely end up tripping over the rope more than you would like. It will say “speed rope” on the package and most likely be rubber or cord (though the cords can hurt pretty bad if you accidentally whip yourself).
-Mizuno Wave Riders: Mizuno continues to make me happy since their shoes not only fit just right for my feet but they are anything but boring. Non boring shoes gives the illusion of a fast runner to those around you! And boosts confidence. Mizuno’s work for me, they may not work for you, I recommend getting professionally fitted for a pair of fitness shoes and testing them out before purchasing.

-ProCompression Socks: Expensive, yes; however, they are often on sale for 40-50% off at places like SkinnyRunner & ActiveGearUp.com. I waiting until I found a sale to invest, and I am glad I did. Here’s a previous post written on the benefits of compression gear. Next on my list, I want the purple pair!

-YouBars: Customizable for your dietary needs and wants. Tons of flavors, add-ins and additional options to make the bars just right for you! I love that the bars range from 130 calorie snack bars to over 300 calorie supplement bars for a quick emergency meal. Right now you can receive 10% off ANY YOUBARS order with the code: “Liftingrevolution10“

-Primal Blueprint Book: I am really enjoying learning more about the “caveman” diet and the science/theory behind why it’s a better lifestyle than what we have going on right now. I am still in the middle of the book, but I am really enjoying it as Mark gives real life examples to help us to understand his points. Not that I am going paleo (been there, done that) but I do love learning about other lifestyles and options. It definitely sparks some curiosity.

-Coconut Milk: From everything from coffee creamer, vegan whipped cream, to soups
-Vino Verde!
News Time
In other news, I am headed out the door right now to film a segment for my local news with Erica in regards to this weekend’s Color Me Rad Wedding Dress event! It will air tomorrow between 10-11am on LowCountry Live, so if you’re a Charleston local, please be on the lookout!
And if you haven’t checked out what the event is, please take a minute to look at our Special Olympics Page, the organization we are raising money for.
What are you all about right now?
Do you tend to stick to the same old items or do you tend to mix things up?
I was not compensated by any of the brands above. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
