What does your gym workout look like? If you’re like over 75% of women it doesn’t include weight lifting. This is so surprising to me… that such a small percentage of women take on the challenge of weight lifting, after all weight lifting is
where results come from.
I design gym workouts for women (exclusively) all the time, it’s my passion and I love the challenge of convincing a woman that she should cut back on her treadmill and elliptical time and pick up a set of weights. I love even more when she starts to see great results and is amazed… “Wow Taylor, You were right weight lifting does deliver!”
Ok girls, remember I do this for a living, so I might know a thing or two!
Ok, so what should gym workouts for women look like? Not much different from the guys… Without getting into specifics your workout should include:
- First- Weight lifting program (a great womens total body workout) to burn maximum calories to burn fat, and to build great toned definition all over!
- Second- Short interval cardio workout. Believe it or not, you don’t need to spend over 20 minutes doing cardio! With a great interval cardio program you’ll burn more calories then if you did a constant speed for 40+ minutes!
- Third- Recent studies have shown that ending with light stretching actually increases muscle building potential and it feels great.
So how long are your gym workouts going to last? 30-45 minutes MAX! That’s all, and only 3 days a week. So stop wasting time and start implementing a workout that is time friendly and actually works!
