Homemade Pitas & Tricep Exercises For Women: Revisited

A few years ago I wrote a blog post with the simple headline: Tricep Exercises For Women. Nothing creative, pretty much says exactly what you can expect to get, right?  I just wanted to share my favorite arm moves.

Wouldn’t you know that it turned out to be one of my most popular posts here at Lifting Revolution. And because of that, I think it’s time to revisit our triceps.

But before that, I thought I would share my new favorite lunch.

Summer Time Fresh Deliciousness

Homemade pita with hummus, tomatoes, sprouts and cucumbers! And of course a side of Charleston peach slices!


1/4 cup semolina flour, 1 tsp chia seeds, 2 tbsp water. Simply stir together to create a batter and pour into a hot skillet. Cook thoroughly on each side and it folds up like a pancake! Fill with all your favorite summer veggies!

This recipe isn’t 100% yet, but it was pretty close!

Why do women want awesome triceps? 

Because that means you’re not going have arm flaps. You know, the “bat wings” where when you stop waving good-bye to someone they keep on sending the farewell wishes.

Sexy arms are often the first thing people see and the indicator of fitness.

Let’s face it, few people walk around with their shirts up showing off a flat stomach, and often times legs are covered up…. so it’s up to your arms to represent your lifestyle. Harsh? I don’t think so.

Especially right now with the summer upon us, you want to feel confident running around with a sleeveless or strapless top.

First things first… Arm Fat

Are these exercises going to help get rid of jiggly fat?

Unfortunately the answer is no. Because there is no such thing as spot reduction. You can do all the push-ups and dips you want but if you have access fat on your arms, you’ll never know the awesomeness that resides within.

To see the definition you’re going to have to follow a total workout plan filled with fat burning workouts and a clean eating diet. The good news is that not only will you burn fat off your arms but also off other areas of your body.

“THE” Tricep Exercises

Dan and I woke up early this morning and drove into downtown to the location we originally filmed the best tricep exercises. I thought it would be fun to recreate the original feel.

What amazes me most is how much I’ve changed from the video to today! I looked like I was 18 years old, too bad that’s not the case any longer.

So I will go ahead and share with you today’s best tricep exercises for women.

Try doing this tricep workout circuit 2 times at the end of your workout. It shouldn’t be a workout but just a part of it.

Because the triceps are small muscles they aren’t going to be very effective at overall calorie burn for a workout, therefore it is still important to hit up big compound exercises to create a total body workout. Learn more about compound exercises.
