I mean that in the nices way possible too. I was watching The Today Show this morning and they had the author of “Eat This Not That” on with Matt talking about the worst hamburgers… first off if you buy a hamburger changes are 9/10 times it is going to be bad for you.
I love a good homemade turkey burger, especially with 4th Of July here… but these hamburgers are rediculous and if people really eat them… shame shame.
The worst burgers from The Today Show:
Outback Steakhouse Blooming Burger: If you think the idea of fried onions over a cheesy hamburger on
a white bun and dipping sauce sounds healthy then go to town on it… but most people know that a blooming onion has close to the daily recommended calories, and add that to a fat loaded burger and you’re asking for clogged arteries and a fat belly.

Hardee’s Two-Third Pound Monster Thickburger: never have I every thought Hardees + burger = healthy living. Ok, so I have never just thought Hardees=healthy and this proofs my point and makes me a little nauseous to think about it.

Chili’s Smokehouse Bacon Triple Cheese Big Mouth Burger with Jalapeno Ranch Dressing: I am speechless!

I know that I have said in the past it is ok to splurge from time to time on your favorites, but most restaurant burgers are just rediculous and going a bit overboard. If you’re craving a great burger, which all Americans do from time to time opt for turkey burgers (Bubba Burgers are great, at local grocery stores) and cook out at your house.
If you do get one at a restaurant as for a whole wheat bun, or served as a wrap (this is what I do and I love it), also skip the cheese, skip “special sauces” and stay with the classics, mustard and ketchup and of course loaded with tomato, onion, relish…
What is on your 4th of July menu?
