Yesterday I decided that I just haven’t challenged myself in the past months (1/2 marathons and PRs are just little accomplishments)… I needed something new.
So… I began a 3-day Juice Cleanse (Insert GASP here).
Okay, so the 1/2 and the PRs were big deals but this is something completely different.

What in the world drove me to drinking my meals?
Right about a month ago Dan and I cozied up on the couch for a Saturday night movie. Because we are weird awesome, we watched the documentary Fat Sick And Nearly Dead, a weight loss documentary on the benefits of juicing.
Now, I am not against juicing but I am also not completely sold on the idea that it’s wonderful for you… after all, the fiber and roughage gets left behind in the machine to be tossed away. And we all know how important fiber is!
However, they made some really interesting points and the research that was used got me to thinking…. is there something in this whole juicing fad?
I don’t have a juicer (though I have been thinking about it) so when I was given the opportunity by Urban Remedy to partake in their 3-Day juice cleanse I decided to jump on board.

Plus, so many people have asked for my opinion on juicing and on cleanses. You know (if you’ve been a reader here for a while) that while I love reading research, I am a huge fan of testing things out on myself to be able to provide the best and honest opinion I can.

I will track my weight over the course of the 3 days to see what happens though.
And no, I am not going to go into details on Day 1… I will give a complete review of each day next week probably with some videos tossed in there too!
I am really excited about this “mini experiment”… it seems that people that juice are ALL ABOUT IT! So why not open my mind to see.
