My puppy Zoe (well, my 6 year old puppy) is my baby. I’ve had her since the summer before my junior year of college so you can say we’ve been through a lot together… moving several times, a few dates, meeting Dan… well, if you’re a pet owner you know how dogs just become part of the family.
My Hurt Zoe-Oey
Zoe is my baby girl. She has been fortunate to be a healthy dog over the years, I think she’s been sick once and it was just a stomach bug. So I was a little worried this morning when she wanted nothing to do with her walk outside (she just laid down every few steps), she close to refused to walk up the stairs back to our condo and didn’t want to lay with me on the couch when I ate breakfast. I quickly told Dan something was up.
We took her to the vet after work and wouldn’t you know what is wrong with my dang dog… she has a herniated disc in her lower back! This is just getting a little crazy, I am nursing mine back while she was put on the same medicine and everything!
For her… it’s complete rest for two weeks! No long walks, no jumping up or down and just being spoiled. I am sure she won’t mind at all. I’m just glad we found out what was wrong with my little girlie. It broke my heart to see her get poked!
