Now there’s one more reason to eat blueberries!

Recent studies at the University of Michigan studied the affect of this “super berry” on rats. The rats that had blueberries added to into their diet (just 2% total calories) lost more abdominal fat than the rats that didn’t have the blueberries!

Just think about that for a minute. 2% isn’t a lot, so if you add blueberries to your protein shake, oatmeal, pancakes, or anything else you could easily get the potential fat blasting help… without popping some strange over the counter diet pill.

Blueberries Are The Stomach Fat Burners:

The researches at the university are on to the idea that the high antioxidants in blueberries change the way your body stores and handles glucose (blood sugar) when it comes to energy. So, not only is this good new for women suffering from a little stomach jiggle but also if you’re at rick for heart disease and diabetes.

Researchers say the results suggest that antioxidant-rich blueberries may change how the body stores and processes glucose or sugar for energy, thereby reducing the risk of both heart disease and diabetes.

You better believe that I have frozen berries in the freezer already! Keep in mind that frozen is just as good as fresh if not even better because frozen fruits are often frozen right after harvesting compared to fresh which have had to make the trip to your grocery store… and each day away from the vine takes away nutrients.

Ways To Eat Your Blueberries:

  • Add to oatmeal
  • Heat on the stove, until soften and eat on frozen yogurt
  • Frozen
  • Add to protein shakes and smoothies
  • Put on salads
  • Mix in with protein pancakes

There’ a lot to be said for the effects of blueberries. I’m not surprised that they help you lose weight. They are also delicious.
