Neither because they’re the same dang thing. Muscle toning for women is the lingo of choice because ladies fear the words muscle building. It’s too manly, too rough, too bulky… to much bologna! Getting toned doesn’t really refer to anything in particular.
But to us women when we think of toned, sexy bodies we think lean, feminine muscular and just a great girl figure. But what’s the difference between muscle building and muscle toning?
There isn’t. If you gain muscle you are going to look toned and if you are aiming to get more toned then you’re gaining muscle… make sense?
Sure toning incoporates (in my mind at least) getting great muscles and losing fat… both of which you get from muscle building.
So you see if your into the muscle toning for women, what you’re really saying is “I want to show off muscle” and you’re going to have to start a muscle building/fat loss workout!
So don’t fear the words, muscle building… embrace them! You’ll love the results when you learn to appreciate the process and the programs that are best! Trust me on this one.
