My Mom’s New Workout Toy- The Trikke

Normally I am not all about buying new workout gadgets, especially when it comes to my parents and Dan’s parents because we know more often than not in just a week or two the new fitness toys are tossed to the corner of the garage and the dust has began to set.

But the Trikke I can actually be excited for my mom. She recently had back surgery for a herniated disc and so during the months that followed she added a few pounds on but her fitness level had decreased so much over the years from her back pain so trying to do much was really hard. But now that she has a new, fused back she is ready to take charge of her life and get in to shape… can you tell I am proud?

She tried the pook workouts but got bored so in an effort to find something that wasn’t too hard on her body she found the trikke. It’s freaking awesome! I rode it for the first time yesterday, and it kicked by booty. Of course Dan jumped on and was naturally good but the idea of skiing on wheels was hard for me to grasp, especially for a girl who has only been on snow skiis once!

But once I got the groove down I could feel a workout in my legs, my core and even my arms. It was a great way to get around and even better my mom loves it. I have tried to offer my help to her but she just doesn’t find gym time exciting like I do, she needs something different and something that she can do without worry.

So if you’re looking for a new cardio plan try out the trikke, there are several different versions which means several prices but she paid around $200 for hers.
