I have really gone an put myself out there! This morning, straight out of the shower, no workouts to prep with or anything I took my before pictures for the 12 week fitness competition.
Yup, I am going to be doing it right a long with you so we are going to motivating each other to the max! This is a great example of what a pre-picture can look like except that I am missing the newspaper to show off the date (I promise it was taken today 9-12-09).
There are a few tips that I wanted to point out about taking workout progress pictures:
- Wear a bathing suite or sports bra with spandex shorts to show off your body. If you’re wearing full clothes how the heck can you tell your progress? And make sure to wear the same outfit every time you take progress pictures.
- Take the picture the same time of day every 2 weeks in the same room (to make sure the lighting is the same)… so I will be back in the dining room from two weeks from today at 11:45 am.
- Wear heels, they don’t have to be 4 inchers like mine but heels do help to show off your legs and your butt. Just make sure to wear the same ones in every picture.
- Be natural. Don’t lay down and do 3 sets of push-ups to try and swell your muscles or do lunges across the room before hand. Remember, fitness progress pictures are for you and you’re cheating yourself by not just going all-natural.
So I will post my picture again in 2 weeks (always on a Sunday)… why two weeks? Because one week isn’t enough time to see big enough chances to keep motivated but 2 weeks is perfect. You will be surprised how much can happen in two weeks time!
