I am in the process of changing the way I think… learning to push out the negative emotions that hold all of us back and learn to concentrate on the positive and happy emotions in life. As first I was pretty weary but I am coming around! Not that I am Ms. Negative or anything but all of us hold thoughts and fears that keep us back from getting what we really want.

So now it’s your turn. I have been doing this every morning this week and I can’t help but start the day with a smile and with a pep in my step.

Instant and Easy Tips To Be Positive:

1. When you wake up in the morning (or right now) ask yourself 3 positive questions. Your brain automatically works to answer them so when these answers come up you’ll be one happy woman, more motivated than ever. Here are some examples:

  • What am I excited about today?
  • What makes me grateful?
  • How can I feel more confident today?
  • How can I hit my goals (you name your goal here) and enjoy doing it?
  • How do I know I am loved?

2. Anytime you find yourself in a stressful situation or your irritated simply ask: “What good can come from this?” and there is always a positive even if you don’t think so now. Yesterday I was stuck in traffic because of an accident and it ended up taking me an hour to get to the gym. I asked myself this question and came up with:

  1. Time to rest and think about the day ahead and what I need to accomplish
  2. More time listening to my favorite morning radio show
  3. Time to call the eye doctor to schedule my yearly eye exam (I have put this off for weeks!)

So there you have it, two ways to just feel better! Who doesn’t want to smile and breath a sigh of relief. Remember to look not just at the moment but at the overall picture. If something happens today, look at it and ask yourself how it’s going to affect you a week from now and chances are it won’t!
