Should You Skip Dinner To Lose Weight?

ScienceDaily is perhaps my all time favorite site. I can spend hours scrolling through recent studies and publications. I guess that’s just the old biologist in me (I was a bio major).

A few weeks ago, I came across this article, entitled, “Eating dinner early, or skipping it, may be effective in fighting body fat.”

I’ve studied up a bit on intermittent fasting and have even experimented with it first hand, so I am drawn to these sort of write-ups.

I wanted to know more. How is this the 1st study performed on humans? What about women, hormones and fasting risks? What’s the difference between skipping breakfast (which is what I did) versus dinner, if any?

So I did what anyone with a podcast would do… I contacted the the person who did the study and asked if they would be interested in chatting.

Gluten Free Mushroom Brie & Egg Pizza #paleo #glutenfree

I was craving pizza like no other this past weekend (which is not normal for me) but didn’t want to go to the store to grab supplies. Instead, I dug through the fridge and pantry to see what as in stock.

I had brie leftover from Thanksgiving, mushrooms, spaghetti sauce and eggs (we always have eggs).

I found this paleo pizza crust recipe and by some holiday miracle, had everything I needed!

And that’s how this baby came to be. Seriously, the best pizza I’ve ever made. No lie. Normally, I have no problem letting Dan have all the leftovers. But not this time, I made him split the last piece with me!

Tip…
I cooked the pizza dough for about 10 minutes before adding the toppings. Sauce, then cheese, mushrooms, onions and finally the eggs. I cooked it all until the eggs were set (I didn’t want them too runny)… about 15 minutes.
