But do you know what drives me nuts about blogging?
After years of writing posts, designing workouts, having fun with exercises,
and posting really great stuff… it get’s buried.
Lost in the archives.
If you’re new to Lifting Revolution, you’d probably never know this stuff existed.
The revolution begins by redefining fitness in your life. It’s time to stop thinking about fitness, exercise, being healthy as just a method for losing weight or getting in shape.
When you look at fitness like that, it becomes a pressure cooker applying stress, guilt, and anxiety… mixed with times of confidence, elation, and self belief… followed by depression, sadness, and frustration. Does this sound familiar? A lot like the yo-yo weight game you’ve played in the past?
• Maybe it’s running your first 5k race, 10k, or half marathon… maybe an ultra.
• Perhaps it’s taking on a Spartan Beast run or a Tough Mudder.
• Maybe you’ve always wanted to do a sprint triathlon.
• Maybe it’s preparing to be the best mom and role model you can be.
• Or it might be training to inspire your family and friends and prove what’s possible when you put your mind to something.
When you start thinking about how to live your fitness, weight loss, getting strong, being healthy… they all happen automatically. All because you’re focused on something bigger, something that touches you personally.
Wouldn’t it have been cool as soon as you learned to read your mom gave you a “How Your Body Works” quick start guide? All the fundamental tips and tricks, specific to your body, would’ve been laid out in an easy step-by-step format.
That would have been nice. However, it clearly doesn’t work like that. When you start to live your fitness, there’s one thing you’ll realize quickly:
Your body is totally unique and it’s going to respond differently than anybody else.
