I occurred to me this morning at the gym that a lot of women (and men) work really hard for a time period, pushing harder and harder at each workout, continuously trying to improve but then after about 3-6 months (on average) women just slow down, or stop.
It’s not that they don’t workout anymore (though many do stop all together) but they stop pushing so hard. It’s almost as they give up on their fitness goals and just settle for the acheivements they’ve made. The biggest culprit of the downfall?
It takes up to 12 weeks (3 months) to see muscle toning results after starting a new regiment. And in today’s world, we want everything NOW… we want to lose 1o pounds in a week, we want to see abs in 2 weeks. Sorry ladies, thats not going to happen.
A great women’s workout has to be a lifestyle… we have to NEVER settle! Always work harder than the workout before and you will see results. And when those results do show, they show big and they can continue to show BUT only if you keep working out hard.
That means: Stay strong in the kitchen and stick to clean eating principles; changing up your workouts every 4-6 weeks; pushing yourself HARD, hard work is the only way you’re really going to get the body you want… this isn’t the time t be lazy.
