The best and worst foods of 2009 were just revealed this week, I am not sure exactly how they narrowed the list down since there is just so much out there, but somebody did. The top 20 worst foods were announced and I gotta tell you I was a bit surprised by the number one winner.

I am not going to give it away quite yet, but I will tell you it has more calories than what you should consume in an entire day, more fat than you should have in 3 days, and more than 70 ingredients to make it a perfect treat.

Drum Roll Please:

The Baskin Robbin’s Large Oreo Shake

Here’s the stats that may have you think twice before you grab one of these icy treats, though with the cold temperatures right now you probably don’t want one anyways.

  • If you drink just one of these, you will be taking in a whopping 2,600 calories. And keep in mind that the average women needs 1700-2300 calories/day.
  • As far as sugar is concerned, there is more sugar in this shake than in 20 bowls of Fruit Loops cereal. In case you’re like me and like to see the numbers, that is 263 g of sugar. There is only 15 g of sugar in the cereal (which is of course still more than you want for clean eating).
  • Fat… get 3 days worth in 10 minutes. That’s the average time it takes to down on of Baskin Robbin’s Oreo Shakes in which time you will get in 135 g of fat; 59 g which is saturated fats and 2.5 g trans.
  • And the last fun fact for the worst food of 2009: If you want to make this at home you will literally be buying a cart load of stuff. There are over 73 ingredients… the more “stuff” you have to put into it, the more bad stuff you will be getting out.
