I am a fun fact freak. I love saying “hey did you know…” Like the kind on Jerry Maguire. So I thought for Sunday I would post some women’s workout fun facts that  recently came upon. So the next time you are with your workout partner you can pull out these!

  • Only 2 states mandate kids participate in PE from ages k5-12… go Illinois and Massachusetts
  • You can burn 211 calories in just 15 minutes of jump roping (I keep one in my back seat)

  • People that get adquate doses of Vitamin D weight an average of 16 lbs less than those that don’t get enough of the vitamin.
  • Sports bras should be replaced like shoes… every 6-9 months due to elastic breakdown.
  • Cookbook recipes have increased calories in meals by up to 40% over tha past 70 years! Yikes.
  • Watermelon (my 2nd favorite summer fruit) contains the amino acid citrulline which when converted by the body to nitric oxide helsp to lower fat storage and maitain muscle mass! I bought some yesterday!
  • Garlic contains nutrients to boost testosterone to boost energy, help muscle products and fat burning potential of the body!
  • 2 1/2 hours of HIIT (high intensity interval training) cardio is equivalent to 10 1/2 hours of standard stable state cardio both within a 2 week period.
  • Running 1 miles for 150 lb person adds 60-90 TONS of force to the knees- which is another reason shorter bursts are better than long stable state running.
  • When it comes to dieting over 70% of people say giving up fast food is the hardest part.
