Happy Thursday! We’ve almost made it. I know for most of you it’s been a short week, but it doesn’t make Friday any less sweet.
As promised, I have a great workout today. Maybe I should start calling Thursdays: Sweat It Up Thursdays? Thoughts?
This week’s workout was inspired by Johnny Depp’s character Donnie Brasco who of course is famous for coining the term “Forget about it”.
Don’t know what I’m talking about?
A challenge? You betcha, but isn’t that what you want! A fun fitness challenge to end the week on an awesome note!
Then I have a great summer breakfast idea for you. If you haven’t tried overnight oats, I am begging you to give them a go! Just follow the recipe below for a delicious start to a hot day.
Fitness Note: This workout will take anywhere from 25-35 minutes. Try to move through it as quickly as possible, even set a timer to help light a fire a bit. That always helps me when I know I have to see my results at the end.

See what I mean? I loved this workout this week.
But after a good workout you always need to refuel. And that’s what this recipe is perfect for!
Granted it is also perfect for Sunday mornings with breakfast on the porch, or right before work, or before a beach day… okay so it’s just perfect.

Summer Time Breakfast Love: Overnight Creamy Oats
This is my favorite summer recipe, because I can prepare it at night, it’s ready in the morning and it’s customizable to my taste! Score, score and extra score.
Overnight oats are becoming more and more popular and for good reason. They are loaded with fiber, healthy carbs and protein. If you add nuts or a nut butter to the top then you’ve also got a great dose of healthy fats.
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 1 cp Oats
- 1 1/2 cp Almond Milk
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1-2 tsp Cinnamon
A bit bland looking? I agree
Topping Ideas for the morning:
- Honey
- Nut/Seed Butters
- Nuts
- Greek Yogurt
- Cottage Cheese
- Maple Syrup
- Fruit
Directions:
- At night before bed stir everything together.
- Wake up in the morning, give it a little stir to fluff it up.
- Add your desired toppings and dig in!

Remember this is for two servings, so in the morning only eat 1/2!
Questions:
- What’s your favorite exercise for legs, arms and abs?
- What’s your favorite breakfast?

Can I just half the recipe to begin with?
Yes! Of course. You might want to use a little less than half milk however with making it into 1 serving.
