You Can’t Control Everything So Stop Whining: Podcast

Hey y’all! How’s it hanging?

I’m still coughing up my lungs, but other than that feeling better! I’ve been sleeping on the couch the past couple of nights because:

A. I actually sleep really well on our couch.
B. My cough is 10x worse at night and I feel terrible keeping Dan and the animals up with my constant hacks.

Coughing is the worst. My abs feel as if I’ve done 5000 leg raises! Perhaps the secret to 6-pack abs? Just cough your little heart out all day and night long. Just kidding, I’m not endorsing that.

Okay, let’s get to it!

I already shared my recap of this past weekend’s race (if you missed it, catch up here). I don’t want to continue going over it, but there were a lot of emotions behind this race! I wanted to sit down and chat about it.

More specifically, the lessons I learned.

Every experience, good and bad, has some sort of lesson to teach us. You just have to be opened to realizing what it is.

So if you don’t mind listening to me spill my emotional guts with a few coughs here and there, then let’s proceed to the podcast!

It’s just me. I was inspired by Julie (PaleOMG) to grab the mic and let myself talk just me and you.

Plus, with just me, I could pause when I needed to hack up a lung. That may have happened far more than I anticipated. TMI? Sorry.

Okay, let’s do this…

You’re Not In Control Of Everything… Deal With It

I know realizing that you can’t control every aspect of life is such a basic concept. But it’s a hard pill to swallow for many of us.

I hope you enjoy this episode!

Both Alex and I are dealing with some sick stuff going on, but I’m hoping to be able to chat with her tomorrow! I guess that’s the sign of a good friendship. We both get sick (with different things) at the same time 🙁

>>>So send us your questions and we’ll be happy to answer away.

>>> If you enjoyed the podcast, get your cute little booty over to the iTunes page and leave a review. It takes just a few minutes and can help the podcast become more accessible to other women!

Q: When you’re sick, what’s your favorite soup?

I love Amy’s Kitchen’s Coconut Thai Soup. So good!
